How do I troubleshoot 97 Mercury Mountaineer Subwoofer Car Amp problem.? - car subwoofer troubleshooting

I'm troubleshooting a subwoofer factory / power amp. I tested the sub-committee with a multimeter and get any continuity .... I have tried 2 is 6.5 "speakers to see if I have no sound and no ... no way to solve this can get more?

I get no sound from the submenu. Also check the main fuse.

It appears that the amp is dead. Try to keep the sub-region to another source. If a font is not available, he briefly led to a 9V battery. If seems the speaker is good and the problem is the amplifier. If he did not fire, he probably froze to death, shorted and killed the amplifier.

Connect the subwoofer to each speaker sound system is 1.5 ohms, and can the audio source with the 9-volt battery to burn
The factory amplifier is defective happens all the time
You can order one of oemautosound.com

Hmm ... Check whether you have the power of the amplifier. Ford stated that a "common basis" means. This means that a ground wire from each speaker, radio and amplifier. If the ground wire can be placed anywhere between the bridge and the amplifier evil will not give the juice. Other problems could the harness, or the amplifier itself might roast toast. In principle, it could be anything, but here at least a starting point. The next step would be easy to take a piece of speaker wire and run it from a loudspeaker, for their Under-(low volume) to work. If it works, you have removed the part of the equation. If you find that they have no power to your amp, try to land with a new chassis ground cable. If this does not always take a new power cord, and run directly to the battery (do not forget to put a backup somewhere ... 20 SAP would be a good choice). and if this is not the amplifier, a step from his vehicle and as far and as hard as you can cast to remove ... then to the nearest electronics store and make andus with a purchase price amps AFTERMARKET a spanking new, and some even hook'em cable.
